Gameplay

I'm not quite sure how to start this page, so I'll just dive into the nitty gritty of it:

ROUNDS: A "round" consists of rotating between playable families, playing all of them for one simweek. If I have eight playable families, I will play each family for a week. By the time I have played eight simweeks, that would conclude a round.

One completed round is equal to one RoundYear. Any year you see in the blog post (ex. 1965) is the RoundYear.

YEARS: Due to my laziness, there are two types of years: the type related to rounds (see above), and the type related to sims. The way my sims age, one year is equal to 16 simdays. Of course, since the length of my rounds depends entirely on the amount of playable sims I have, the length of the Round Year is highly variable. The length of SimYears are much more concrete. To tell how old my sims are, I simply take the amount of days they have lived and divide them by 16. If my sim is 8 simdays old, then s/he is six months old. If my sim is 338 days old, then s/he is 21.125 (or 21) years old. My sims have an average life expectancy of about 80 SimYears, which isn't too bad if you ask me.

SCHOOL: coming soon!

BUSINESSES: coming soon!

If you're ever confused, don't be. Getting confused is my job. ;) If you have any questions at all, feel free to leave a comment and I'll do my best to answer them!

MODS AND OTHER CC: I play with a lot of mods, but in order to spare you the insignificant ones, I'll list all of the important ones:

-Twallan's mods (MasterController, StoryProgression, TheRelativity, Woohooer)
-My homemade mods, which edit pregnancy and party guest limits
-Ani's shop and coffee mods in conjunction with Sandy's chest-likes
-Treeag's RGM Machine
-Buzzler's Moar Interactions

  1. Good luck with this. As you may remember, I did several versions of rotating between households in the neighborhood for the SV Times blog. It can be interesting but it gets confusing too. :)

    1. Oh, yes! :) I'll have to review how you did your rotations and see if I can pick up anything.

It definitely gets confusing, which is the main reason why I have the order listed on the blog as well as giving myself the freedom to decide "eh, I don't feel like playing that family this round". It makes things more fun, and hopefully less difficult.
